From one unique city to the next! Though only traveling for 4 hours by plane today, we made quite a large cutler & climate jump. Flew out of Baku’s airport around 8am and arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia, just afternoon!

The city greeted us with snow, a surprisingly easy taxi ride and a cute Airbnb. Then, after getting settled, it was off to the Hermitage where we waited out in the snowy cold for about an hour and then realized we probably did not need to wait in that line at all! š oh well, you live and learn, right?
We got to witness the amazing Pazyryk burial felts…

After viewing the felts, I went exploring around the Winter Palace and beyond…

Later, we headed back to have food at the Kazan Mangal Restaurant right near our place. They specialize in Georgian and Uzbek cuisine. It was delicious…

And with these lovely pictures of food I say farewell for the day š More to come…
Sending love to you all!
P.S. Hoping to write a later blog about the rest of my experiences and reflections in Baku.
